This DNA sequence of black marlin is one of the tools being used by Samuel Williams to determine the number of breeding populations of this iconic recreational species in the Indo-West Pacific Ocean.
The publication is a major achievement for Sam, who is completing his honours year at the Molecular Fisheries Laboratory.
